The expanding rôle of scleral lenses

Scleral lenses have retained a unique application in clinical practice, but because they feature only minimally in the current training programme for optometrists and ophthalmologists, there is poor recognition of the occasions when they are indicated. The introduction of RGP materials has reduced sequelae, and has enabled simpler fitting process. Scleral lenses are an option for all grades of pathology where there is a contact lens indication.

Presentations and topics for discussion
